ABOUT CFI CUSTOM FINISHERS

Over four decades ago, CFI was established by three visionaries well-versed in wood panel processing and chemical coatings. Originally focused on supplying the growing furniture industry around High Point, North Carolina, the company quickly expanded its footprint. Despite challenges from imported goods leading to a decline in the residential wood furniture sector, CFI adapted.
Under new ownership led by Chris Wilkins, CFI has undergone significant transformations. The company now boasts higher volume outputs with multiple plants and has diversified into supplying cut-to-size parts for displays and fixtures. The manufacturing processes and raw materials have seamlessly transitioned, allowing CFI to thrive in these new markets.
CFI has elevated its capabilities by incorporating cutting-edge technology, such as Miltec in UV drying and GSE paint dispensing. The addition of CNC machining, custom paint and UV flat line coatings, edgebanding, finishing, lithographic mounting, laser cutting, and engineering services has further positioned CFI as an industry leader.
Today, the company not only meets the demands of furniture manufacturing but has successfully penetrated diverse sectors. With a focus on prototyping and serving as an OEM for furniture and POP, CFI delivers exceptional quality and efficiency. The commitment to innovation is evident in the incorporation of Miltec technology for UV drying and GSE paint dispensing, ensuring top-notch finishes and access to millions of color combinations.

Under Chris Wilkins leadership, CFI remains at the forefront of the industry, combining decades of expertise with cutting-edge technology to deliver precision, quality, and adaptability to an ever-evolving market.
